A Town of Huntington snowplow tipped over in Cold Spring Harbor Thursday morning, Suffolk County Police confirmed.
The incident happened at 7:44 a.m., near the intersection of Route 108 and Lawrence Hill Road in Cold Spring Harbor.
“Coming down Lawrence Hill Road to Route 108 on an icy road, the rear wheels of the truck hit the island that is at the intersection and the truck tipped over,” town spokesman A.J. Carter said. “The driver was not hurt. The truck suffered only cosmetic damage. It was righted and went back into service.”
The plow tipped amidst yet another winter storm that was expected to coat the region with 4 to 7 inches once it was all done late Thursday.
