Tulip Fest Sprouts Up In Heckscher

More than 20,000 tulips were ogled in Heckscher Park on Sunday as part of the town’s 17th annual Huntington Tulip Festival.

The festival, which was founded by Councilman Mark Cuthbertson, is free, family-oriented and took over the park in Huntington village, despite the somewhat bipolar weather. Hundreds of people flocked to the park to ogle the flowers, join the festivities and listen to musical performances on the Chapin Rainbow Stage that were organized by the Huntington Arts Council.

Remember, those who were at the festival taking pictures now have until July 31 to submit their photos to be judged and potentially selected for festival publicity. For more information, call 631-351-3099.
