Town of Huntington officials completed the first phase of safety improvements to a dangerous stretch of Woodbury Road last week that were recommended in a traffic-calming study following two fatal accidents that occurred on the stretch since 2013. 

Huntington Councilwoman Tracey Edwards has proposed changes to the town’s policy of approving homes for two-family use to bring it in line with the way accessory apartments applications are currently reviewed.

After a long-simmering disagreement between the restaurant’s operators and its landlord boiled over this weekend, Doppio Artisan Bistro’s Huntington location closed its doors Sunday.
