A Huntington man was arrested yesterday for allegedly inappropriately touching an 8-year-old girl at Huntington Public Library Sunday, Suffolk police said.
Police said Christopher Elgut, 28, approached an 8-year-old girl who was standing behind her mother at the library counter at about 4:30 p.m. when Elgut picked up the girl and placed her behind a column inappropriately touched her. The girl screamed and Elgut fled on foot from the library, located at 338 Main St.
