A car smashed into a Broadhollow Road pizzeria in Melville on Sunday.

Melville firefighters responded to the scene at La Focaccia pizzeria at around 6:40 p.m., officials said.

The car struck the corner of the 64 Broadhollow Road building and shattered a glass panel, fire officials said.

A woman sitting at a nearby table suffered cuts and lacerations. She was brought by Melville Rescue Squad to Plainview Hospital for treatment.

Melville firefighters removed the glass pieces and boarded up the window with lumber.

Units were under command of Chief Chris Nolan and First Assistant Chief David Kaplan. Twenty-five fire/rescue personnel were dispatched with two ambulances, and engine, heavy rescue truck, tactical support unit and paramedic responder.
