Man Shot In The Leg In Huntington Station

A 21-year-old Huntington Station man shot in the leg Saturday night while standing in the street is in stable condition, Suffolk police said.

Police said officers responded to 66 11th Ave. after a 911 caller reported a shooting at 8:15 p.m. When they arrived, officers discovered Luis Hernandez, of Huntington Station, lying in the street with a gunshot wound to his leg.

An investigation by Second Squad detectives revealed that Hernandez was shot by an unknown person while he was standing in the street in front of the house. Hernandez was transported to Huntington Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
