Side Dish: Matteo's Returns And LI Restaurant Week Continues

MATTEO’S LIVES: After three years of renovations, Matteo’s Trattoria & Bar reopened late last month. The restaurant, part of a quarter-century-old chain with locations in both New York and Florida that are part of the Rothmann’s Steakhouse restaurant group, prides itself on using the finest meat, fish and vegetables to craft its Italian family-style menu.

Paul Miranda, executive chef of the Huntington Station location, previously of both Swallow and True North, the latter of which closed its Huntington village doors earlier this year, is serving up dishes like veal chop valdostana, fettucine carbonara, Sicilian style sea bass and salmon carpaccio. The 300 W. Jericho Turnpike restaurant is open Monday-Thursday, 5-10 p.m.; Friday, 5-11 p.m.; Saturday, 4:30-11 p.m.; and Sunday, 3-9 p.m. For more info, visit Matteosristorante.com.

RESTAURANT WEEK CONTINUES: Long Island Restaurant Week continues through Sunday, Nov. 5. Participating restaurants are offering a three-course prix-fixe menu for $28.95 all night, every night they are open (until 7 p.m. only on Saturday).
