High School Marching Band Plays At College Bowl Game

The Northport High School Tiger Marching Band performed in front of 65,000 fans at the Outback Bowl in Tampa, Florida, on New Year’s Day.

The band performed during halftime of the football game, which was played between Northwestern University and University of Tennessee at Raymond James Stadium.

Northport’s Flagline, Tigerettes and band members performed music and choreography alongside students from 13 high schools across 10 states and a professional dance team.

“It was an amazing experience for all the students.  Thank you to all for your support, thank you to the families who joined us in Tampa, and a special thanks to Mrs. Lynn Cromeyn for planning and organizing this incredible opportunity for our students!” a statement on the school district’s website stated.
