There was an apparent murder-suicide at the Commack Motor Inn yesterday afternoon, Suffolk police said.

A man and a woman were found dead in a room at the 2231 Jericho Turnpike inn by an employee at around 12:33 p.m., according to police. The employee entered the room after the occupants failed to check out at their scheduled time, and discovered the bodies.

The bleachers were packed at Northport High School on Saturday, when the community celebrated homecoming, and saw the Tigers football team defeat the Central Islip Musketeers 46-8.
