A developer’s plan to build a three-story commercial building with residential apartments in Huntington village requires parking relief in order to move forward.

The Huntington Town Board is considering changes to town laws governing blighted properties. A first proposed regulation would amend town code to include a provision than any blighted property deemed “unsafe and damaged” will be demolished. 

The Huntington Town Board has agreed to sell a 7,000-square-foot paved parcel of land to a developer who wants to build a three-story commercial building with residential apartments in Huntington village. The sale is subject to public referendum.
