Former Huntington village sports bar Rookies has closed its doors after eight years in Huntington village, opening the door to new ownership, which plans to renovate the space and open a new bar in the coming weeks.

Thousands of students around the Town of Huntington celebrated the close of their high school careers last weekend, walking across stages to receive diplomas in front of their family, friends, teachers and administrators. 

This weekend is sure to contain lots of giant family barbeques; soaking in the sun poolside or at the beach; red, white and blue everything; and, of course, firework displays.
