Former Nassau County Executive Tom Suozzi won Tuesday’s Democratic primary, edging out four other candidates hoping to replace Rep. Steve Israel in the 3rd Congressional District, which includes most of the Huntington township.

After a Huntington Station woman was killed Sunday in a three-vehicle crash involving an alleged drunk driver, the woman’s sister has started a campaign to prevent drunk driving by urging establishment owners to withhold car keys from potentially drunk patrons.

Huntington Supervisor Frank Petrone accepted a $5,000 check from Huntington Honda on Wednesday on behalf of the town’s Give A Dog A Dream Foundation.
