Rep. Steve Israel (D-Huntington) has backed Suffolk County Legislator Steve Stern (D-Dix Hills) in his quest to fill the Third Congressional District seat that will be vacated by Israel this election season.

The three-year-old Huntington Robotics team participated in the For Inspiration & Recognition of Science & Technology robotics competition at The Dome at America’s Center stadium in St. Louis, Missouri, from April 27-30.

Bob Santoriello, superintendent of the Greenlawn Water District, has been with the utility for 43 years. Regarding Suffolk County’s latest proposal for a water quality surcharge, he said that “in principle, it’s a great idea.”
