Family-owned supermarket Greenlawn Farm has replaced the Waldbaum’s that closed its Pulaski Road doors last year.

A beloved husband, father, grandfather, stepfather and friend, Dr. Peter M. Guida, died Wednesday in his Lloyd Harbor home while surrounded by loving family members. He was 88.

Huntington Fire Department volunteers spent much of Saturday battling fires, starting with an afternoon fire originating from a landscaping truck, and then an evening house fire from which firefighters rescued three dogs.
