A 65-year-old Northport motorcyclist sustained serious leg injuries following an accident in Greenlawn Friday, police said.
The incident occurred at about 4:08 p.m. Police say Merwyn Kaplan 75, of Greenlawn, was driving a 2014 Nissan westbound on Pulaski Road when he made a left turn onto Duncan Elder Drive, and collided with a 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Joseph Algerio.
Algerio was transported via Suffolk County Police helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he is being treated for serious but non-life threatening leg injuries. Kaplan stayed at the scene and was not injured.
The investigation is continuing and anyone with information on the crash is asked to contact Second Squad detectives at 631-854-8252.
