Councilwoman Tracey Edwards’ proposal to add a “bistro” designation in the town code has gained a mixture of support and opposition since it was first made public last month.

A 56-year-old man working at a condominium construction site in Centerport fell 30 feet off the roof of a building under construction Sunday afternoon, suffering “blunt trauma” injuries, a fire official said.
