The Huntington Town Board approved several measures Sept. 16 that relate to improving the health, care and safety of pit bulls and pit bull mixes as Pit Bull Awareness Month is now being observed nationally.

The Huntington Community First Aid Squad has turned to the public for help convincing the Town of Huntington to restore a proposed cut to its funding.

Earlier this month, Town Clerk Jo-Ann Raia became the longest-serving town clerk in the Town of Huntington’s 362-year history.
