A grand re-opening ceremony was hosted earlier this month for the Town of Huntington’s cat shelter in East Northport.

The public hearing on the controversial Elwood Orchard project has been canceled as the applicant withdrew its application with plans to amended the proposal.

Talks are underway regarding the sale of the Old Town Hall property in Huntington village, which has long been eyed for a planned boutique hotel, an attorney close to the matter said.
