Suffolk County Water Authority chairman Jim Gaughran of Northport is taking a second shot at the state Senate seat currently held by Carl Marcellino.

The American Orthopaedic Association recently named Huntington Hospital’s orthopaedic program as an “Own the Bone Star Performer” in fragility fracture care, a national recognition for the program’s fracture care and prevention measures.

Two of the 17 victims in the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School that rocked the nation last week had ties to the Town of Huntington.
