Blighted “zombie homes” could be resurrected and transformed into housing for homeless veterans under a federal bill led by U.S. Rep. Steve Israel.

The Huntington Town Board is considering a code change that would allow some small food-service business owners to potentially more than double the number of seats in their establishments and apply for alcohol licenses.

A fire engulfed a Huntington Station apartment building in the afternoon on Nov. 13th and displaced 10-15 residents, fire officials said.
