Gateway Plan Gets Town Board’s Go-Ahead

Renaissance Downtowns is one step closer to getting shovels in the ground in an effort to reshape and revitalize Huntington Station.

Following a year-long state environmental review, the Huntington Town Board during its Sept. 16 meeting adopted Huntington Station-master developer Renaissance Downtowns’ Gateway Plan, a plan that could generate $1.5 million in new tax revenue and tens of millions of dollars in economic activity.

A Hot Time At The Greenlawn Firemen’s Fair

Dressed in a fireman’s costume, Aden Biggica was hoping to get a ride on a fire truck, while his sister, Kayla, was excited to see the marching bands about to stroll down Broadway for the 112th annual Greenlawn Firemen’s Fair on Sept. 3.

The parade, which brought out Huntington Township’s firefighters and many of Long Island’s top bagpipe and brass bands, marched down Broadway to the Greenlawn firehouse.
