The Huntington Town Board voted on Tuesday to delay a decision on whether to adopt the first piece of a large-scale revitalization project for Huntington Station pending feedback from the New York State Department of Transportation.

After an unsuccessful attempt six years ago, Huntington Town officials are once again exploring the possibility of buying the development rights of the historic Tilden Lane Farm in Greenlawn.

Following instances of disruptive behavior at recent council meetings, and with recent tragic events across the country in mind, town officials are beefing up security at Huntington Town Hall and voted Tuesday to codify “long-standing” rules of board meeting decorum.
