Suffolk County police have arrested two men in connection with a string of gas station and doughnut shop robberies in Suffolk County, including three locations in the Town of Huntington.

Matthew McGurk, 25, of Commack, and Andrew Berger, 27, of Williston Park were arrested as they were apparently trying to pull off another heist at a Dunkin Donuts in Blue Point on Jan. 14, police said.

Two “known gang members” on parole for drug felonies were busted at a Lowndes Avenue home in the early-morning hours of Dec. 11 after a search warrant turned up guns, cocaine, and thousands in cash, Suffolk County Police said.

Three Dec. 11 crashes in Greenlawn, two of which resulted in multiple injuries, are being blamed on icy roads, first responders said.

Suffolk County Police said the first occurred at 6:42 a.m. on Pulaski Road and sent a Second Precinct cop to Huntington Hospital.

The later incident resulted in multiple injuries – including injuries that left one civilian woman critically hurt, according to a spokesman.
