Dublin-born singer/songwriter Imelda May would prefer that that those who attend her shows leave looking worse than they did when they arrived.

“I like when people sweat; people let down their guard when they sweat,” she said. “They forget how they look… You don’t care anymore and you have a great time.”

The 40-year-old singer will perform at The Paramount for the first time on Sunday, Sept. 28.

Many Parts, One Voice

Before she was a world-traveling girl-group member, Texas native Ally Brooke Hernandez was preparing for high school graduation, “heavily involved” in her church and living a “simple” life.

Today, she and four others are known as “Fifth Harmony” – a group of female singers, aggregated by producer Simon Cowell during season two of “The X Factor” in 2012.

On Sept. 23, the group will take the stage of The Paramount in Huntington alongside singer/songwriter Meghan Trainor (known for her hit single “All About That Bass”)!
