An East Northport man was arrested Saturday night for a string of robberies over the past month, including the robbery of the same 7-Eleven in Commack three times, Suffolk police said.
Police said Shaun Mcneice, 29, of 5 Stan Haven Pl., robbed a Shell gas station, located at 444 Commack Road, and fled the scene on a bicycle at about 7:35 p.m.
A short time later, detectives located Mcneice on Stan Haven Place and West Haven Drive, where he was found in possession of stolen items, along with a skull mask and a loaded handgun. There were no injuries to employees at the gas station.
Police also identified Mcneice as a suspect in the robberies of Finnians Pub at 1976 Jericho Turnpike in Elwood on Oct. 5, the Speedway at 5087 Jericho Turnpike in Commack on Oct. 4, the 7-Eleven at 6230 Jericho Turnpike in Commack on Oct. 2 and the 7-Eleven at 3041 Jericho Turnpike in East Northport on Sept. 30, Sept. 24 and Sept. 12.
Mcneice was charged with seven counts of first-degree robbery, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and resisting arrest.
He was arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Sunday and is being held on bail of $50,000 cash or $100,000 bond.
Mcneice is scheduled to return to court on Oct. 16.
An “unauthorized person” accessed Commack High School students’ information in a network breach Thursday, school district officials said.
The hacker accessed the high school’s student management system and may have viewed information that includes student identification numbers, names, addresses, contact information and school schedules, officials said in a statement posted to the district’s website.Read More

A Northport woman and her son had escaped an active house fire when she re-entered the home in what police said may have been an attempt to rescue two cats – an alleged effort that ended in her death.
