Two suspected gang members were arrested at a Huntington home Thursday morning on drug charges and illegally possessing a firearm, Suffolk police said.
Six Suffolk police teams collaborated in executing a search warrant at 55 Cedar Dr. and seized a loaded .40 caliber Smith & Wesson semi-automatic handgun, cocaine, marijuana, cash, digital scales and an assortment of drug packaging equipment. Police said the drugs had a street value of more than $3,000.
Wesley Erickson, 31, a resident of the home, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, two counts of third-degree a criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Andre Knox, 37, of 29 E. 8 St. in Huntington Station, was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.
According to police, both Erickson and Knox are members of the Old Station Soldiers gang.
Erickson and Knox will be arraigned on Friday at the First District Court in Central Islip. They are being held overnight at the Second Precinct.
