The Huntington Town Board gave the go-ahead to a zone change necessary for Scotto Brothers catering company to build a 248-seat “high-end” restaurant on Route 110 in Melville.

The zone change was approved 5-0 for three parcels located on the eastern side of the intersection of Broadhollow and Spagnoli roads.

Property owner Greg DeRosa said last week that he has a tentative agreement in place with Scotto Brothers to build a restaurant on the property.

The plan must first get parking relief from Huntington’s zoning board since it is short by 28 parking stalls. The next zoning board meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Dec. 17, but the application was not listed on the agenda by deadline Monday.
