A car crashed through the front entrance of a Melville bagel store Saturday afternoon, shattering two large windows and damaging the storefront, fire officials said.

The Melville Fire Department responded to the crash, which occurred a Bagel Biz 443 Walt Whitman Road at around 3:25 p.m.

Melville firefighters were on the scene with an engine and ambulance, under the command of Chief Jason Bernfeld and Third Assistant Chief David Kaplan.

No injuries were reported, and the Huntington Building Inspector was requested to check the structure.

According to fire officials, another storefront in the same strip mall, Gourmet Wok Chinese Restaurant, was damaged last year during a similar incident.
