Jonathan’s:
It’s still as good as ever – maybe better. The Foodies returned to Jonathan’s a recent Saturday night some two years after we first reviewed Roberto Ornato’s sophisticated Wall Street Northern Italian Restaurant . Now we must admit, that we’ve been there some dozen times in-between. But since this was kind of an anniversary, we felt it worthy of note. Also worthy, is on each of our visits, we try several different dishes, but one thing remains true: we always have the Pumpkin Ravioli with Sage Butter sprinkled with Amaretto Cookie Dust. It is the best tasting pasta dish to have ever crossed our palates – sweeter than most. Everything from the kitchen is good – no, exceptional – as is the ambiance and service. Tell Roberto the Foodies sent you.

pogopizza.com: an online ordering system designed exclusively for independent pizzerias, is rolling out in Deer Park/Dix Hills. A fully-secure and integrated website allows customers to order online from their favorite, local, independently-owned pizzerias, including Deer Hills Pizza. According to Pogo Pizza President Joyce Shulman, “More pizza is consumed annually than any other food. In fact, Americans eat more than 100 acres of pizza each day, approximately 350 slices of pizza every second and about 3 billion pizzas each year.” For more information, visit www.pogopizza.com. And it’s starting in our own backyard.
