BEST MEETING VENUE: We had the pleasure of having
a scheduled lunch meeting in the Wine Salon room at Macs
Steakhouse. The privacy for a meeting of six to twelve at
the dark wooden table of the well appointed room, overlooking
the wine cellar and the outside, provides an unsurpassed venue
for your Board of Directors, intimate family get-together
or make up a Board, get a group of 10 and ask Scott if you
can reserve the room. Macs regulars knows the fine steaks
and other quality offerings from the kitchen. The lunch menu
adds salads, sandwiches and small plates all reasonably
priced to the steak and chop menu. Meet you at Macs.

BLACK & BLUE: Formerly, Off The Wall, owner Luigi
Aloe and Executive Chef Steve Del Lima (preivious at Wild
Fin) have been welcoming crowds to Black & Blue (65 Wall
St., 631.385.9255, www.blackandblueny.com), their well anticipated
seafood-chophouse. Its high on the Foodies list of must
try eateries in the Village. See ya there!
JONATHANS: Its still as good as ever maybe
better. The Foodies returned to Jonathans last Saturday
night some two years after we first reviewed. Now we must
admit that weve been there some dozen times in-between.
But since this was kind of an anniversary, we felt it worth
of note. Also worthy, is on each of our visits, we try several
different dishes, but one thing remains true: we always have
the Pumpkin Ravioli with Sage Butter sprinkled with Amaretto
Cookie Dust. It is the best tasting pasta dish to have ever
crossed our palates. Everything from the kitchen is good
no, exceptional as is the ambiance and service. Tell
Roberto the Foodies sent you.
