BEST PARADE VIEW: Snare yourself a window seat at Huntington

for viewing this weekends Lighted Holiday Parade in
Huntington Village. When it was Chesterfields, the second-floor
restaurant was always a hot seat for the St. Patricks
parade. Huntington Social may well be the ticket for the holiday
edition. Parade time is 6:30 p.m. this Saturday, November
26 and with more than 5,000 people coming into town for the
event, youll want to go to town early. Tell them the

STEAKHOUSE OPEN: J. Michaels Steakhouse (688 Fort Salonga
Road, Northport 631-651-9411 www.jmichaelstuscansteakhouse.com)
has opened at the former La Capannina in Northport. J. Michaels
specializes in dry-aged steaks and fresh-off-the-boat seafood
with an Italian influence, served in a restored 19th-century
farmhouse. Chef Vincent Michaels, formerly of Matteos,
has Ron Gelish, formerly of Macs, in the kitchen.
ALL ABOUT THE TRUFFLE: Mirabelle Restaurant at Three Village
Inn (150 Main St., Stony Brook 631-751-0555) celebrates the
truffle with a White Truffle Festival currently underway.
Celebrated Chef Guy Reuge will feature one white truffle dish
each night the restaurant is open, Tuesday through Sunday,
until truffle season ends in early December. The A sample
of Chef Reuges white truffle dishes include truffle
omelet or pasta with truffles.
RESTAURANT WEEK WRAP-UP: Organizers of the sixth annual Fall
Long Island Restaurant Week say the eight-day dining event
was a great success that generated more than $7.6 million
in sales at participating restaurants. The islandwide promotion
from Nov. 6-13, included 247 restaurants offering their own
unique three-course prix fixe menus for $24.95 and resulted
in packed restaurants from Floral Park to Montauk. Total restaurant
revenue was estimated to be $7,645,144 with New York State
taking in an estimated $419,060 in tax dollars. According
to preliminary results from post-event surveys, participating
restaurants served an estimated total of 197,600 meals. The
campaign has become a great way for restaurants to attract
new customers just before the holiday season. It offers Long
Islanders an affordable treat, giving them an opportunity
to feast on some of the best dishes from area restaurants,
said LI Restaurant Week organizer Steve Haweeli, President
of WordHampton Public Relations. LI Restaurant Week recognized
the need to help those unable to participate as diners by
making donations to Interfaith Nutrition Network, Family Service
League and Island Harvest.
TASTE OF ANDREAS: Commacks newest hot spot, Andrea's
25, has tasting on the menu. Actually, its a pair of
menus that comprise "A Taste of Andreas."
Both offer diners a choice of choose two appetizers, two main
courses and two desserts for a single prix fixe price. One
menu features selections for $19.95 per person; a second offers
more expensive selections at $29.95 per person. Either way
its a great deal that will allow you to sample a wide
selection of menu offerings in a single visit. With the promotion,
house wine is $5 per glass, premium wine is $8 per glass.
HONU HOLIDAY: When times are good, companies love to throw
