GHAPPY ANNIVERSARY: Join Perfecto

DECADES OF MEEHANS: Speaking of anniversaries, brothers
Michael and Patrick Meehan, are celebrating the 20th anniversary
of their restaurant, Meehans of Huntington (371 New
York Ave., Huntington, 631-351-0831, www.meehansrestaurant.com).
A landmark in Huntington village, Meehans is what well
call refined casual. Although they have a lively bar scene,
Meehans strives to be much more than a pub. Yes, they
have terrific burgers, and the chili is pretty good, but diners
also find a full menu of appetizers, hearty entree selections
and salads, popular for lunch and dinner. Since they first
opened sometime in September 20 years ago, Meehans
has expanded, adding The Oak Room for catered parties, and
an outdoor dining patio in the alley next door. Nothing specials
planned for the anniversary celebration, so next time youre
in, make it a point to wish the boys a happy 20th anniversary.
