until Corona beers marketing department made it otherwise.

MEZCAL HOLIDAY: If authenticity is your game, the best way
to celebrate Cinco de Mayo is with the authentic Mexican spirit
mezcal. Tequilas sophisticated sister, mezcal
is also made from the agave plant but smoky roasting
and oak barrel fermenting bring sophistication and depth to
the fiery liquor. Ilegal artisanal mezcal comes from the heart
of Mexico but has local roots. Huntington expatriate John
Rexer put the better part of a whole Mexican village to work
making Ilegal, which he proudly serves at his Cafe No Se in
Guatemala, and now has importer Frederick Wildman & Sons
selling it to the rest of the world. You can pick up a bottle
at Seaholms Wine & Liquors in Huntington.
CULINARY FACE OFF: The Foodies are excited about the return

Costume building in Melville). The chef who put Huntington
on the food map when he opened Panama Hatties nearly a quarter-century
ago, Schaudel will be facing off with chef Tom Fazio at Waters
Crest Winery in Cutchogue to see who can create the perfect
food pairing for the 2010 Waters Crest Rose. The winner will
be determined by a food and wine industry judge. A celebratory
