READY FOR CORNED BEEF? St. Patricks Day is just around
the corner, which means corned beef will start popping up
on restaurant menus. Corned beef at Finnegans with a
pint of Guinness and a shot of Jamesons should get your

GRAND ST. PATRICKS FEAST: Huntington Elks Lodge No.
1565 restaurant and catering hall (195 Main St., Huntington
646-504- 3557) will host an exciting St. Patricks Day
party on Saturday, March 12, 7-10 p.m. A $20 buffet will be
stocked with Irish favorites, and beer specials include $3
pints. The Modern Age, with Long Islands own Peter Demidovich
as lead singer, will provide live musical entertainment. Irish
Step Dancers from Mulvihil-Lynch Studio of Irish Dance will
also perform.
NISEN MEANS HAPPY HOUR: Nisen Sushi (5032 Jericho Tpke., Commack
631-462-1000 www.nisensushi.com) presents a happy hour every
night from 5 to 7 p.m. with a half-price lounge menu and drink
specials including $5 specialty martinis and $3 draft beers.
Half-price menu items include: Edamame ($3), Cajun Chicken
Skewers ($5), Tuna Nachos ($6), Black Cod Skewers ($6), Oyster
Yaki ($7.50) and Kobe Beef Meatballs ($6).
MOLTO MONDAYS: The folks at Ruvo (63 Broadway,
Greenlawn 631-261-7700 www.ruvorestaurant.com) tell us that
in Italian, molto means great quantity.
We think it ought to mean what a deal! On Molto
Mondays at Ruvo, youll start with either classic Caesar
salad, insalata misto or a hot bowl of pasta fagiole;
then enjoy a heaping plate of homemade pasta choose
rigatoni Bolognese, spaghetti alla vognole, penne alla vodka
or spaghetti with meatballs and accompany your meal
with a glass of Chianti or Pinot Grigio, all for $20 per person.
