CALORIE COUNTER’S DELIGHT: The Lite Choice (293 Main St., Huntington 631-351-LITE) is having its grand opening on March 20 from noon to 10 p.m. Stop by to try a free small cup with one topping (excluding fruit) all day. The Lite Choice is a frozen dessert that is 100 percent natural and organic, containing no corn syrup or additives, and is available in 70 different flavors every day.

BREAKFAST AT THE VANDERBILT: Here’s your chance to see how the other half lived. Bring your children to Eagle’s Nest, formerly home of George Vanderbilt III and now the Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum (180 Little Neck Road, Centerport 631-854-5579 www.vanderbiltmuseum.org) for a special Easter breakfast and an egg hunt on April 3. HAMPTONS RESTAURANT WEEK: It’s far afield but for serious foodies, the opportunity to try some of the East End’s finest restaurants at a prix-fixe price is worth the drive. Hamptons Restaurant Week offers just that opportunity. From March 21 through March 28, participating restaurants offer $24.95 and/or $19.95 three-course prix-fixe dinners. GOT CORNED BEEF? The parade went on despite Sunday’s rain, but the crowds of thousands stayed home. Expect to see deals on corned beef at Huntington area restaurants for days to come.
