prix-fixe but if you order right you can find yourself enjoying
a three-course meal for under $20! Just be seated before 6

HALF-OFF WINES: In celebration of the coming of spring,
Prime An American Kitchen and Bar (117 New York Ave.,
Huntington 631-385-1515 restaurantprime.com) hosts Winter
Wine Week through March 5 featuring wine-themed menus and
half-price wine selections. Select wines are 50 percent off
by the bottle, or when guests buy a minimum of two glasses
of any regularly priced wine, the cost is half of the bottles
list price. Special menus complement the wines, which include
selections from $55 to $480. Heres your chance to try
that 2004 Bryant Family Vineyards, Napa ($480, reg. $960).
For something less trying on the wallet, there are French
and Italian sommelier selections priced from $35 to $138.
STRAWBERRYS PRIX-FIXE: Its a great time
to try the new kid on the block, Strawberrys Bakery,
Bar and Grill (279 Main St., Huntington 631-427-0999). The
newly opened eatery and entertainment venue is featuring an
Early Week Prix-Fixe Dinner, Sundays through Tuesdays, at
$32.95 per person. Included is one glass of house wine, draft
beer or house cocktail and a four-course menu. Appetizers:
Cold antipasti, a medley of cured meats, imported cheese and
grilled vegetables; Prince Edward Island mussels in Pernod
broth; Fritto Misto fried shrimp, calamari and scallops
with basil aioli and red pepper coulis for dipping; or vegetable-stuffed
artichoke. Salad: Mozzarella and tomato Caprese or apple and
goat cheese salad. Entrees: Chicken Delaterra with prosciutto,
roasted pepper, marinated eggplant and fontina over mushroom
risotto; Ricotta gnocchi grilled chicken, sun dried
tomato, pesto cream sauce; Braised beef short ribs with a
borrola reduction; Tilapia with clam and mussel stew over
linguini; Chicken Milanese. Dessert: Toasted apple pizza with
vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce, or warm banana cake served
with vanilla ice cream and chocolate ganache sauce. Strawberrys
features live music every night; Sunday is Sinatra night.
