OPEN FOR BUSINESS:
There’s another restaurant calling Huntington home. Spice Village Grill (281 Main St., Huntington village 631-271-9700) has been open for about a week, and their menu posted on the window is plenty enticing. Don’t ask us if they’re Indian or Turkish – the menu seems to sport a little bit of both with Indian favorites like chicken tikka and naan alongside kababs and lamb chops. We can’t wait to get inside, park ourselves in the cozy surroundings and have a taste. If you’ve been there, give us a shout and share your thoughts.

BEST WISHES: Our thoughts are with Tutto Pazzo co-owner Joe Petrone who is in serious condition following a car accident this past weekend. Brother Luigi is holding down the fort and we wish Joe a speedy recovery.

RING IN THE NEW YEAR: Started thinking yet about where to ring in the new year? Keep in mind that we begin a new decade, which calls perhaps for an extra celebration. Jonathan’s Ristorante (15 Wall Street, Huntington 631-549-0055) will be celebrating New Year’s Eve on Thursday, Dec. 31 from 5 – 10:30 p.m. They will be offering their regular menu along with some a la carte specials. Reservations are a must. HONU Kitchen & Cocktails (363 New York Ave., Huntington 631-421-6900 www.honukitchen.com) will be celebrating New Year’s Eve on Thursday, Dec. 31 with some special menu items, including an exciting New Year’s Eve Tasting Plate ($60) that includes 4 oz. petit filet wellington, Maine lobster tail and a half-rack of herb-crusted lamb chops.

PARTY FAVOR: Still haven’t booked that holiday party? Ruvo Restaurant and Bar (63 Broadway, Greenlawn 631-261-7700 ruvorestaurant.com) comes to the rescue with a few choice dates available for cocktails, dinner, lunch or brunch. Book a party of 15 or more before Dec. 23, and you’ll get a $100 Ruvo gift card for yourself.

PRIX FIXE: Dine Huntington Restaurant Week was such a success at Osteria Toscana (69 Wall Street, Huntington 631-549-7074 osteriatoscana.com) that they’re continuing the prix-fixe menu well into the new year. The $24.95 price includes appetizer, entrée and dessert – a great way to sample some of their rustic Italian specialties.
