THE RESTAURANT LINEUP:
Dine Huntington Restaurant Week is on fire! To date, 51 of the finest eateries throughout the Town of Huntington are on board to offer a three-course prix-fixe menu at $24.95 per person Oct. 12-23. The newest addition to the Dine Huntington lineup is Northport Tasting Room and Wine Cellar serving… are you ready… Maroni’s. Owner Matthew Spirn’s wine tasting room has no kitchen, but insiders know they can order take-out from nearby restaurants. Spirn has arranged with restaurant superstars Michael and Maria Maroni to cook up their specialties for him to serve at the prix-fixe price during Dine Huntington Restaurant Week. Keep up with it all at DineHuntington.com, or follow us on Facebook by becoming a fan of DineHuntington. Sponsored by Lexus of Massapequa, Long Islander Newspapers and Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce, Dine Huntington Restaurant Week is a food fest not to be missed.

VIRTUOSO: Renowned guitarist Esteban played informally for patrons of Huntington’s newest hotspot, Porto Vivo (7 Gerard St., Huntington 631-385-8486, www.porto-vivo.com) during Labor Day Weekend. Esteban played for about four hours to an audience of about 100 people at the restaurant’s lounge area Sunday night, and repeated the show Monday night. Esteban’s albums have topped the Billboard charts, and he’s as well-known as a Home Shopping Network pitchman who opens the world of music to children and adults who have never played before.

PRIX FIXE PREVIEW: Foodies are making their Dine Huntington Restaurant Week (Oct. 12-23) reservations at Jonathan’s Ristorante (15 Wall Street, Huntington 631-549-0055). Can’t wait? Jonathan’s is offering a fall prix-fixe menu Sundays through Thursdays. The $28 per person price includes includes: antipasto, entrée and dessert.
VROOM! For those who like their cars to be rare and their steaks perfectly done, head to Blackstone Steakhouse (10 Pinelawn Road, Melville 631-271-7780) next Thursday, Sept. 24. Blackstone will put some sizzle in your drive with a show of some of the world’s hottest dream cars. The Exotics Rally car show is from 6-8 p.m., unless it rains… there’s a Sept. 25 rain date because, really, you wouldn’t want your Maserati to get wet.
