Cheers To T’s Lounge
By Tricia Arend/ foodie@longislandernews.com

When you’re looking for a tasty meal, a cold beer and a good time, sometimes the answer is right around the corner. Nearly every community has its neighborhood bar where the beer is cold and the people are warm. When there’s food, it’s a plus.

East Northport just got a new one with the recent opening of T’s Lounge, located at 246 Larkfield Road. A quaint and cozy sports bar with a friendly atmosphere, T’s new owners opened in April after revitalizing and renovating the interior.

“We’re new to the area and we are very friendly. We like to meet everyone and let them know we’re here. We want everyone to have a good time when they come in and we make sure that happens,” said owner Jeannette Tamasi.

Upon walking in, one can easily tell from the sports paraphernalia on the walls and sports games on the televisions that T’s Lounge is a sports bar. But there’s much more. The kitchen is open for orders until closing and the menu provides a wide variety of choices from burgers and wings to steak and pasta.

Appetizers and finger foods will keep a light appetite happy, while game day meal-seekers will find satisfaction in the burgers and steaks. The best-selling burger is a plateful, with fries, all the fixings plus slaw and a pickle spear. The cheddar and bacon burger makes a hearty meal.

“People can come in for a quick beer and meal, we offer that,” Tamasi said. “I would like to see the lunch crowd come in. We would like to cater to the working community here.”

And for those who like to party, T’s Lounge offers interactive social events that draw people of all ages. Happy hour lasts from 4 – 7 p.m. every Monday through Friday. Last month they arranged a luau bash and on August 31 they will be throwing a toga party. The Tamasis also organized a dart league on Wednesday nights and are looking to form a bowling league.

T’s is a work in progress and the owners plan on creating a new lounge area with a big screen television and a sofa for the upcoming sports seasons. They’ll be offering everything from specials on wings to pitchers of beer.

“I love making parties. I find a reason to celebrate everything and anything!” Tamasi exclaimed.

The excitement is contagious and even the staff is happy to serve.

“I love it here! It’s so much fun. It’s a very friendly atmosphere. I love the parties,” said Jessi Lanham, an enthusiastic employee.

“It’s refreshing and wonderful to see old and new people getting together again,” added Allen Scalzo, a pleased customer. “Change is good if it works and I believe they’re doing the right thing.”
